Team India keeper-batter Rishabh Pant let out a loud grunt after missing out on a seemingly boundary ball on day three of the third Test against England at the Lord's Cricket Ground. A video of the same surfaced on social media, the stump mic captured the 27-year-old's pain at missing out on a boundary.

The incident occurred in the 51st over of the innings sent down by Chris Woakes as the Warwickshire seamer sent down a short and wide delivery. The left-handed batter connected but found Ben Stokes at cover and was disappointed at potentially missing a boundary ball.

The Uttarakhand-born cricketer notably began the day with a boundary off Jofra Archer and charged down the same over two deliveries later against the right-arm speedster for another four.

Rishabh Pant didn't keep wickets on day two

Notably, the 27-year-old didn't keep wickets on day two of the Lord's Test as he continued his recovery from the finger injury sustained on day one while trying to prevent the boundary. Nevertheless, Pant looked in good nick with the bat, slamming three boundaries in his unbeaten 19 off 33 deliveries until stumps on day two.

The southpaw has added an unbroken 38 with KL Rahul (53*) at Stumps, keeping the tourists afloat after England amassed 387 in their first innings. Team India finished day one on 145/3, still trailing by 242 runs, losing Yashasvi Jaiswal (13), Karun Nair (40) and Shubman Gill (16).

England's total came on the back of Joe Root's 104, followed by half-centuries from Brydon Carse and Jamie Smith. The five-Test series is currently locked at 1-1.
