Team India To Play 3 ODIs & 5 T20Is As Cricket Australia Announce Blockbuster Schedule For 2025-26 Season

The Men in Blue will tour Australia for a white-ball leg for the first time since 2020 when they won the T20I series but lost the 50-overs rubber.

Cricket Australia have announced their schedule for the 2025-26 home season, with Team India set to play three ODIs and five T20Is, The summer also includes the Ashes series and a limited-overs leg against South Africa, with Darwin returning as an international venue after 17 years as it will host the Proteas for two T20Is.

The Men in Blue will tour Australia for a white-ball leg for the first time since 2020 when they won the T20I series but lost the 50-overs rubber. On this occasion, India will square off in three ODIs and five T20Is. The tourists will play their ODIs in Perth, Adelaide and Sydney on October 19, 23 and 25. Meanwhile, the T20I series will take place from October 29 to November, with Canberra, Melbourne, Hobart, Gold Coast and Brisbane locked in as venues.

The summer will, nevertheless, begin by staging South Africa in three ODIs and as many T20Is from August 10 to August 24. The five-Test series between Australia and England kickstarts on November 21 in Perth and will run until January 8.

Australia will also host the Indian women's team for three ODIs, three T20Is and a Test from February 15 to March 9.

Cricket Australia CEO Todd Greenberg hopes to see the momentum continue this summer in terms of viewership as it did so in the previous season. Greenberg said, as quoted by cricket.com.au:

"We smashed many records for attendance, viewing audiences and digital engagement last summer and we're confident that this incredible momentum will continue throughout what promises to be an engrossing season. We are extremely grateful for the cooperation and support of all our government, venue, broadcast and commercial partners who ensure Australia's national sport continues to deliver brilliant experiences in stadiums and drive participation across the country."
