Rajasthan Royals almost made a mockery of the 184-run target set by the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) as they romped to their 4th win in a row in IPL 2024 on Saturday in Jaipur. The 147-run partnership between Sanju Samson (69) and Jos Buttler (100*) set the tone for Royals' victory and overshadowed Virat Kohli's well-paced 113*.

Virat Kohli starred with his 8th IPL hundred as his unbeaten masterful 113 steered the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) to an imposing total of 183/3 in 20 overs. The 125-run opening stand with captain Faf du Plessis proved to be the catalyst of the innings as the latter contributed with 44. The final over of the innings yielded 14 runs as Avesh Khan leaked 3 boundaries.

Toss Update:

Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson has won the toss and has elected to bowl first against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Friday. It is also a special occasion for the Royals as they wear an all-pink jersey, dedicating it to the women, to honour them.

The Royals have been outstanding in IPL 2024 thus far, winning all three games, downing the Delhi Capitals, Lucknow Super Giants, and Mumbai Indians. Sanju Samson's men brought their A game against Mumbai at the Wankhede Stadium as their in-form bowling unit restricted the hosts to a mere 125-9 in 20 overs.

By contrast, the Royal Challengers are in desperate need for victory after losing 3 matches out of 4. Faf du Plessis' side lost the tournament opener to the Chennai Super Kings, but bounced back to beat the Punjab Kings. However, they suffered consecutive losses to the Kolkata Knight Riders and Lucknow Super Giants as their overseas batters failed to step up.
