France and Germany meet at the Allianz Arena in Munich in what could be not only the best match of the Group Stage in this delayed edition of Euro 2020 but also a decisive game for Group F (read Group of Death featuring Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal and Hungary).
The match will be the return of Karim Benzema to France in competitive tournaments after a five-year absence. Benzema played alongside Griezmann and Mbappe for the previous friendly games but suffered a knock the last time he was on the pitch.
If France are considered the favorites to win the tournament because of their attacking trio, Germany are just as powerful. Kroos, Kimmich, Gundogan, Gnabry or Havertz are quality players and their three-man defensive line will be difficult to overcome even for France’s stars.

France vs Germany is one of the oldest rivalries in European football. The two teams played their first game in 1931 and since then have played in total of 31 games including friendlies and official mega tournament matches.
France have the statistical advantage over their rivals, winning 14 games compared to Germany's 10, while seven of their meetings have ended in a draw. Les Blues (France) haven't lost to Die Mannschaft (Germany) in over six years, with their last defeat coming in the 2014 World Cup, which Germany went on to lift. Since then France have won three games, while three others have ended in a stalemate.
