Mumbai: Bombay Republicans crushed Union Bank of India 4 – 0 in the finals of the fifth Father Agnels 7 a side Hockey Tournament held at the Father Agnels Multipurpose School, Ambernath. Top international player Yuvraj Walmiki was the star of the match, scoring all the four goals to secure an easy victory for his side.

In the schools event, Children’s Academy, Malad got the better of Our Lady of Dolours Marine Lines by a solitary goal scored by Hemant. Aneish Kumar, Managing Director and Country head – India, BNY Mellon was the Chief Guest at the finals of the tourney.

Hockey Olympian and Arjuna award winner, Mervyn Fernandes who also originally hails from Ambernath witnessed the finals in his hometown and was delighted with the performance of these young and talented players. Marzban Patel fondly called Bawa, was felicitated for his untiring efforts and great contribution to the game of Hockey.
