Kolkata: After two days former India team skipper and BCCI president Sourav Ganguly was discharged from the hospital.
According to hospital sources, he will now stay in home isolation for at least a week. The hospital sources also confirmed that Ganguly will be kept after doctor’s vigil and also that he is improving.
Rupali Basu, MD and CEO of Woodlands Multispecialty Hospital Ganguly is stable and no fever came after he was admitted.
“Though we are still waiting for the genome sequencing reports, seeing the former skipper is not affected by the Omicron variant,” said Rupali.
It can be recalled that on December 28, Ganguly was admitted in hospital after his covid report came positive. A medical board has been formed to treat the former India skipper and is consulting with doctors Devi Shetty and Aftab Khan.
It is pertinent to mention that this is the third time Ganguly got admitted in the hospital in this year. On January 2, while doing exercise after complaining of chest pain Ganguly was hospitalized and later it was learnt that he suffered a heart attack. Weeks after he was released from the hospital, following a similar chest pain that led to the second round of angioplasty during which two stents were placed in two of his arteries.
