IPL team Sunrisers Hyderabad pacer Umran Malik will finally make his India debut when he takes the field in the first T20I against Ireland on Sunday, June 26.
BCCI's official Twitter handle posted a series of pictures of Malik receiving his ODI cap and captioned it: "A dream come true moment!! Congratulations to Umran Malik who is all set to make his T20I debut for #TeamIndia He gets No.98."
Malik was handed a maiden call-up for the five-match T20I series against South Africa at home, but the pacer did not get a chance. However, Malik is also part of the Hardik Pandya-led Indian team which is set to play two T20Is in Ireland.
Malik had picked up 22 wickets in 14 games for SRH in the IPL this year but it is his ability to bowl consistently at 95 miles per hour that has caught the imagination of all.
