In a shocking incident in Maan tehsil of Satara, a man killed his own mother under the influence of alcohol with a a steel pot after she refused to serve him food. The incident occurred late at night on January 10 in Dahiwadi. The accused, Vishal Anandrao Jadhav, was reportedly drunk when he returned home around 10 pm and asked his mother, Sangeeta Anandrao Jadhav, to serve him food.

As per teh foofical from Dahiwadi Police, "When his mother refused and insisted that he serve hmself, the situation escalated. Vishal, in a fit of rage and intoxication, attacked his 48-year-old mother with a steel pot. The sudden attack left Sangeeta unconscious, and her screams alerted the neighbors. They rushed her to Dahiwadi Rural Hospital and later transferred her to Krantisingh Nana Patil Government Hospital in Satara. However, after medical examination, it was confirmed that she had succumbed to her injuries."
