The All India Nau Sainik Camp 2023 (AINSC 2023), which commenced on October 15 at INS Shivaji, Lonavala, concluded on October 25, with 408 senior division (SD) boy cadets and 204 senior wing girl (SW) cadets from 17 NCC directorates nationwide participating in the camp.
This year's competitions encompassed a wide array of activities that posed physical and mental challenges to the cadets, aiming to bolster their leadership skills. Cadets engaged in various activities such as boat pulling, ship modeling, drill, whaler-boat rigging, semaphore, service subjects, seamanship practicals, and small arms firing. Maharashtra Directorate emerged as the overall winner, with Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Directorate securing the runner-up positions.
Beyond the contests and cultural programs, the 10-day event provided cadets with a unique opportunity to explore the state-of-the-art marine engineering training facilities at INS Shivaji, a premier technical training institute of the Indian Navy.
Lt. Gen. Gurbirpal Singh, AVSM, VSM, DG NCC, expressed his pride in the cadets' achievements during AINSC 2023 at INS Shivaji.
