An alert Railway Protection Force (RPF) constable saved a man from being crushed under a running train at Borivali railway station on Friday.

The incident took place when the man was trying to board the Dadar-Bhuj special train. While boarding the train he lost balance while trying to get inside the compartment as the train gained momentum.

After seeing the man fall, an alert on duty constable, Pawan, pulled the man out before he slipped between the train and the platform. The video of the incident was shared by the Western Railway.

Taking to Twitter, the Western Railway warned people to not get on or off a moving train.

This is not the first time when railway officials have prevented such disastrous accidents, and saved lives. Previously on December 15, 2020, RPF constables saved a 29-year-old woman from being crushed under a running train at Mumbra railway station.

The incident took place when Rijban Safad Khan was trying to board the local train at Mumbra station with her six-year-old daughter. While she managed to get her daughter on board, she lost balance when she was trying to get inside the compartment as the train gained momentum.

After seeing the woman fall, alert Maharashtra Security Force (MSF) personnel Shahrukh Sheikh, Rahul Sonawane and Santosh Devkar pulled out the woman out who was slipping between the train and the platform.
