Mumbai: Anti Narcotics Cell (ANC) of the Mumbai Crime Branch as arrested two persons with Mephedrone (MD), worth `3.8 lakh. The two arrested persons have been identified as Saqlain Ahmed Shakeel Qureshi alias Boss, 20 and Mohamed Farook Naim Chaudhari, 45. According to ANC officers, they received a tip-off about a possible drug deal near Bapti road, Kamathipura.
They laid a trap, and on suspicion, detained Qureshi and Chaudhari on Friday night. On their search, they found 55gms of MD from Qureshi and 40gms of MD from Chaudhari. They were arrested under different sections of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) act.
