Mumbai : A senior police officer of the Mumbai police revealed on Wednesday that Preity Zinta, during her meeting with Commissioner of Police of Mumbai Rakesh Maria on June 30, had submitted four pictures of hers in which the bruises made after her ex-boyfriend Ness Wadia allegedly manhandled her on May 30 are seen. On the other hand, Wadia gave the contact details of six of the witnesses he had named to the Marine Drive police station.

On the night of the Indian Premiere League match between Zinta and Ness’s jointly owned team Kings XI Punjab and Chennai Super Kings, the latter had allegedly harassed and manhandled Zinta. According to Zinta’s claims, which have also been confirmed by a few of the witnesses, Wadia had held her hand and pulled her roughly which made the bruises.

“Zinta has submitted four pictures which show her right arm, which Wadia had allegedly held, with some bruises,” the police officer said. The photographs were given to the Marine Drive police station on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Wadia, who has been charged assault and outraging the modesty of a woman, has provided contact details of the witnesses named by him in a letter to the Marine Drive police on July 2 as the police were finding it difficult to contact them. Of the nine, attempts were made to contact three – Pooja Dadlani, Kamlesh Shah and Sharat Nath. However, all of them were unavailable for various reasons. In Zinta’s case, statements of 12 witnesses have been recorded so far. Efforts are still being made to contact Shailesh Gupta who was sitting with Zinta and the rest of her friends during the said IPL match.
