Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) Commissioner Dr. Kailas Shinde held a special meeting with builders, entrepreneurs, and traders to address challenges faced by businesses and industries in the city. The meeting, held at the municipal headquarters, aimed to streamline approvals and encourage economic growth.

Navi Mumbai: Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) Commissioner Dr. Kailas Shinde held a special meeting with builders, entrepreneurs, and traders to address challenges faced by businesses and industries in the city. The meeting, held at the municipal headquarters, aimed to streamline approvals and encourage economic growth.

During the session, representatives from MIDC, APMC Market, Thane-Belapur Industries Association, CREDAI MCHI, Small Scale Industries Association, and other trade bodies highlighted their concerns.

Commissioner Shinde assured them of prompt solutions and directed municipal departments to take necessary action. He emphasized that regular interactions would be held to maintain transparency and ease administrative processes.

"To accelerate approvals for businesses and construction projects, NMMC is implementing a single-window online system. We insisted on water conservation, urging builders to use treated wastewater for construction and non-drinking purposes to preserve potable water," Dr Shinde said.

The meeting also focused on increasing citizen participation in the Swachh Bharat Mission’s cleanliness survey. Residents were encouraged to provide feedback on city sanitation via https://sbmurban.org/feedback, with officials demonstrating the process.

"The commissioner’s initiative was welcomed by all the bussiness men. This proactive approach to resolving industry concerns will help us to function smoothly," one of the bussiness man from MIDC who attended the meeting, said.
