Mumbai record 673 new COVID-19 cases, 751 patients discharged

Mumbai reported 673 new COVID-19 cases on June 8, taking the total tally to 7,13,002. Now, there are 15,701 active cases in the city.


City recorded 7 deaths due to coronavirus on Tuesday which pushed its fatality count to 15,073 as per data released by the city's civic body. 751 COVID-19 patients recovered and were discharged on Tuesday taking the recovery count to 6,80,009.

On Tuesday, 26,992 tests were conducted. May 17 had reported the lowest count rate with just 17,640 tests.

Meanwhile, the doubling rate has increased to 543 days, while the weekly growth rate has dropped to 0.12 percent.


There are total 27 containment zones in the city and 98 buildings have been sealed as per today's data.
