A nurse, who is attached to a Khar-based multispeciality hospital, has registered a case of sexual assault and rape against a doctor who claimed to be in love with her and gave her false pretexts of marriage.

Police said that the case was registered in Raipur on June 4, which was later transferred to Bandra Police for further probe. Police said that the accused, a doctor, was in a relationship with a nurse from Raipur before she left for Mumbai.

While Bandra Police recently got the complaint, no arrests have been made in the case. The doctor has been booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code for rape (section 376).
