Mumbai : Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari has assured a delegation of BJP leaders from Konkan that the widening of the Mumbai-Goa highway is being expedited and the work will be completed within next three years.
“The new road will have four lanes, will be completely concretised and free from toll,” BJP MLA from Kankavali Pramod Jathar, who led the delegation, told FPJ. “We had many demands regarding the development of the region and all the demands were very well received by the minister,” he added.
Widening of NH-17 includes building of 3-4 new bridges. Gadkari is expected to inaugurate the construction of these bridges in near future.
