Mumbai: The Congress party will hold agitation on May 30 across Maharashtra to protest against the completion of 7-year rule of the Modi government, announced the state unit president Nana Patole on Saturday. During the Modi rule, the country has been in a state of decline and people are suffering serious consequences, said Patole.
‘’In 70 years, the Congress government has firmly established the country as a prosperous, self-respecting nation in the world. However, in the last seven years, Modi has ravaged the country in the name of development,’’ claimed Patole. He said Modi had promised 2 crore jobs, Rs 15 lakh for each bank account, doubling of farmers' income, reduction in inflation in 100 days but he has miserably failed to fulfill all these promises.
‘’In seven years, inflation has risen so much that it has made life difficult for the people, demonetization has shut down small and medium enterprises in the country, and unemployment has skyrocketed. Farmers and workers were displaced by ‘’black laws’’. Banks, railways, public sector companies were sold to industrialist friends,’’ alleged Patole.
