Mumbai: Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL) celebrated International Women’s Day with great enthusiasm, reaffirming its commitment to gender equality, empowerment, and inclusivity.
The event commenced with a welcome address by Manisha Jha, Chairman of the Konkan Railway Women's Cultural & Social Service Association (KRWC & SSA), who emphasized the crucial role of women in shaping families, workplaces, and society.
Santosh Kumar Jha, Chairman & Managing Director / KRCL, also addressed the gathering with insightful remarks, highlighting the indispensable role of women in the growth and success of the organization. Adding to the discourse on women’s well-being, Dr. Deepa Kala, Obstetrician & Gynecologist, Former Professor at Terna Medical College, shed light on essential aspects of women's health, including reproductive care, preventive healthcare, and the importance of self-care in achieving overall well-being.
The celebration also included engaging discussions and interactive sessions aimed at empowering women and recognizing their invaluable contributions.
