MUMBAI: Anny, an 11-month-old dog, trained by the Border Security Force (BSF), helped in seizure of drugs worth Rs 3.2 crore. Airport Customs at the Mumbai International Airport nabbed a female smuggler after Anny sniffed out the presence of drugs worth crores of rupees. Members of the dog squad, along with the young Anny, were on their routine round of the baggage area in and around the International terminal of Mumbai Airport. The Labrador sniffed something and started running towards women travelers. An official said, “She started pulling with such force that the handler had a fall.” The lady, whom Anny targeted, was identified as Thalitha Mosiga (33) with a South African Passport and had alighted from Ethiopian Airlines. The officials, while conducting check, recovered 16 kg of Ephedrine drug worth Rs 3.2 crore.
