Ujjain: Civic body aims to cut expenses by 10 percent

Ujjain: Municipal commissioner Pratibha Pal asked the officials concerned to prepare a department wise work plan to minimize civic body’s expenditure by up to 10 per cent.  She was addressing a meeting of the civic body officials. The optimal use of civic body funds should be in the benefit of the city, she added. She said, “We have able and competent officials with us who may help in the development of the city in a better way.”

She told that property tax should be recovered after the physical certification of the property. She instructed to make available all the necessary resources to civic body employee to make their job more efficient for the civic body. She emphasised on recovery of rent from the assets of the municipal corporation.

The commissioner took stock of services providing through lokseva guarantee and suggested the concerned officials to have no pendency. She also instructed to pay immediate attention on plaints registered with CM Helpline and control room. She also took note of arrangement of drainage cleaning before rainy season, ongoing construction work of residential project. The meeting was attended by additional commissioner Dhirendrasingh Parihar, Manoj Pathak, deputy commissioner Sunil Shah, Yogendra Patel, Bhavishya Khobragare, Sanjesh Gupta, executive engineer Rambabu Sharma, Arun Jain and other concerned officials.
