Indore : A team of ‘We Care For You’ wing on Thursday nabbed a youth for allegedly harassing a college girl by sending her obscene SMS. The accused was handed over to MIG police for further action.
Victim, a residing in MIG area, lodged a complaint that someone is sending obscene messages over her mobile phone since last few days.
Soon the team started an investigation and found that the mobile number is registered with one Ravi Dangi of Tulsi Nagar. Ravi informed that his neighbor Balkrishna Chakrawarti had taken his SIM card for operating it in his mobile phone a few days ago. Later, accused Balkrishna was arrested and the SIM card was also recovered from him.
In preliminary investigation, it was found that the accused had registered that mobile number on WhatsApp after which he somehow arranged girl’s mobile number and started sending obscene messages to her.
