Youth dies while fixing leakage in water tank

Indore : A 21-year-old labourer died while another one became unconscious while repairing the leakage of an underground water tank in Bhawarkua area on Thursday. The labourer died when the chemical used for fixing the leakage spilled over him. The police have registered a case and sent the body for autopsy.

According to Bhawarkua police, two labourers named Subhash Khanna, a resident of Pawan Nagar, and Mukesh Kirad of Chitawad were repairing the leakage of water tank at Dr Jagdish Kushwa’s place in Chitawad area.

As Subhash went inside the tank for the work suddenly the chemical reportedly fell on him which turned him unconscious. After seeing Subhash’s condition, Mukesh also went down in the tank in order to rescue him but he too fainted there. Later, their contractor Shubham and local people rushed them to the hospital where Subhash was declared brought dead while Mukesh is undergoing treatment in a hospital.
