Indore : The death of only white tiger in the city zoo has triggered a series of questions over the functioning of the city zoo.
The unfortunate death also exposed the manafgement of the zoo, whioch is dramatically losing members of the cat family these days. Meanwhile, the factfile of the zoo is gaining pages as the authorities showed their disappointment on losing tiger cubs and called it a natural process.
The loss of the precious species of the cat family in the protected boundaries has developed a possible threat for the wild in cage.
Sources revealed that there isn’t any strict schedule maintained by the zoo authorities for providing food and other necessary items to the animals.
It was also said that the monetary gain is always highlighted by the senior officials but the negligence is always brushed under the carpet. Zoo represents wild of the city and the officials concerned apart from the IMC council are least bothered about the conditions of the animals in the zoo.
It was said that the Mayor also hasn’t come out with any power-packed plan for the zoo in the recent past except displaying his grievances against the death of animals. The white tiger was brought to the zoo after a year of struggle from Bhilai Maitri Baugh Zoo under an exchange programme of the CZA (Central Zoo Authority). Gloomy part of the incident is that the tiger, Rajjan was brought to the zoo a couple of weeks ago and died within a month.
