Unofficial results puts BJP way ahead of Congress in Sardarpur

A 22-year-old Congress candidate Gayatri Purohit has bagged the much-discussed district panchayat, Ward, No. 6 seat.

Sardarpur (Madhya Pradesh): According to polling agents, BJP has bagged 17 out of 25 Janpad Panchayat seats in Sardarpur tehsil. Giving another jolt to Congress, BJP has bagged 03 out of 04 seats in the district panchayat.

A 22-year-old Congress candidate Gayatri Purohit has bagged the much-discussed district panchayat, Ward, No. 6 seat. It may be mentioned here that three Congress leaders MLA Pratap Grewal, former MP Gajendrasinh Rajukhedi and district president Balmukund Singh Gautam were backing her.

Sardarpur tehsil witnessed a good turnout of voters during the last phase of the three-tier Panchayat body elections on Friday and the tehsil registered 79.33 per cent voting.

Voting was done to elect four district panchayat members, 25 janpad panchayat members, 95 gram panchayat members. The official declaration of the results would be made on July 14.
