Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): The area from Kushalpura to Trimurti Talkies became water-logged on Saturday night due to the wall burst of Kshirsagar overhead water tank. With water entering the houses, people started saying what a smart city this is.
This incident of wall burst took place at around 9 pm. Suddenly water started flowing out from the wall at Kshirsagar Garden. Thousands of litres of water kept flowing on the roads for hours due to the leakage. The situation did not improve till 2 pm and the water kept flowing. Some residents said that the water tank frequently overflows causing problems.
Another resident said that Shivraj Singh Chauhan’s government, former minister Paras Jain says Ujjain is number 1. “Now you tell, is Ujjain number 1? People do not get drinking water and sometimes lakhs of gallons of water are wasted. People openly expressed their anger over administrative negligence,” a resident quipped.
