Indore : Thieves broke into three places in the city and decamped with booty worth lakhs. The first theft occurred in Ganesh Nagar in Kanadia where thieves broke into the house of Dr Suraj Sirohi and stole jewellery and cash. At the time of theft, the family had gone out of the city.
Their neighbour informed them about the theft on Wednesday morning after which Dr Sirohi asked his brother-in-law Anil to check.
A check found that thieves had made off with diamond necklace, three gold rings and a chain along with silver ornaments and items. The thieves had also stolen three mobile phones and Rs 40000.
The total value of stolen items was pegged at Rs 2.5 lakh. After the check Anil filed a complaint on behalf of his brother-in-law Dr Sirohi at Kanadia police.
The second theft took place in Vaishnav Vihar Colony in Aerodrome area where thieves broke into the house of Suresh Geharwal.
A police complaint was filed by Suresh’s elder brother Govardhan. The complaint stated that the family had gone to Jaipur to attend a marriage on January 25.
Their neighbour had called and informed them of the break in after which Govardhan went to the house to assess the loss.
A check found that the miscreants had made off with gold earrings, mangalsutra, silver anklets along with cash of Rs 15000.
The third theft occurred in Pancham Ki Fail where thieves broke into the house of Lakshminarayan Bandwal and stole gold and silver jewellery along with Rs 7000 cash. At the time of the theft the family was attending a marriage function in Dewas.
