Indore : Students of CBSE schools can submit their essay for participation in the Swami Vivekananda Expression Series online or offline mode today. The series is launched with the aim to inculcate knowledge about the great leaders of India. The expression series provides a platform where students can express their creativity.

CBSE students studying in classes I to XII can participate in the competition. There are three categories of participation: classes I to V, classes VI to VIII and classes IX to XII.

Assistant professor and joint director Dr Praggya M Singh, CBSE, wrote, “Students may submit their entries as Essay/Poem/Painting in any of the 22 scheduled languages and English.”

“To cater to the needs of schools where internet connectivity is limited, the board has devised a registration-cum-response sheet (Annexure-IV), which may be downloaded, printed, photocopied for distribution to the participants,” Singh added. After the students have submitted the response sheet, the school administration or participant can scan or click a picture of the submission and send it through mobile app.

“Images without clear details may not be considered,” Singh wrote. The links for submissions will be open from 8:00 am to 11:59 pm. Best 12 entries in each category will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 2500 and a Certificate of Merit. Each participant will get a Certificate of Participation.

The circular warns students not to copy their data from any other source. “Plagiarism check may be done and the entry will be liable to disqualification if found plagiarized at any point of time,” Singh added.
