Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Congress candidate from Indore-3 Deepak Joshi ‘Pintu’ announced a reward for those who show development works of Rs 3,000 crore done by BJP in the constituency.
Targeting BJP, Pintu made the announcement to give Rs 11,000 to those who will show the development works and said, “I am happy if such amount of development work has taken place in Indore-3. The government doesn’t have money and they are taking debt to advertise their work. The figures of Rs 3,000 crore does not seem feasible as the government is taking debt of Rs 2,000 crore every month.”
He also targeted the BJP for fielding Golu Shukla from Indore-3 and said that the party failed to pit any local candidate from the constituency.
“BJP is ruling the state for 20 years but they failed to find a local candidate from Indore-3. It is an insult even for local BJP workers,” he said.
Commenting on his equation with his sulking cousin Ashwin Joshi, Pintu said, “I have taken his blessings. He is my elder brother and I will always follow him and will work with him.”
Meanwhile, MLA Akash Vijayvargiya targeted Pintu and said that the people of the constituency will respond over the same. “We worked on the theme of Modiji’s ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’ and didn’t leave any stone unturned for the development of the constituency,” he told the media.
