Indore : Former in-charge of Evaluation Centre of the Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) Shantaram has been appointed as officer on special duty (OSD) again at the centre nearly one-and-a-half year after he was relieved from the position. He has been re-appointed on the post by acting vice-chancellor Prof Ashutosh Mishra on the recommendation of present in-charge of Evaluation Centre Prof Deepak Bhatnagar.
Bhatnagar wanted a retired person as OSD at the centre for monitoring evaluation work during the morning hours. All the OSDs at the centre report on duty in afternoon as they have to do their main work of teaching at their respective institutes in the morning hours.
As no OSD is present at the centre during morning hours, the evaluation works go on snail pace. Taking a note of this, Bhatnagar had recommended Shantaram’s name as OSD as he is a retired official. Shantaram had served as evaluation centre for many years at DAVV. The university will get benefit of his experience.
