Indore: A local court on Friday awarded seven years of rigorous imprisonment to four persons and slapped a fine of Rs 3000 each for attempting to kill two persons.

Judge AK Paliwal handed down the sentence. Public prosecutor Vishal Shrivastava said that Rupchand, Prakash Prajapat, Ajay and Sachin Chauhan and intercepted Dharmendra Sonkar and Dilip when they were on their way to home on April 3, 2009 and stabbed them over some dispute.

A case under Section 307 was registered against the above-mentioned accused and Pyarelal and chargesheet was presented in the court. After hearing both the parties, the court convicted all four accused in the case and awarded sentence to them while acquitted Pyarelal.
