They too alleged medical negligence against the hospital staff and said that the patient could be saved if timely treatment was given to her.

As per information, family members of Neha (22), a resident of Scheme No 74, created a ruckus in the hospital after her death. She was admitted to the hospital on Saturday and also delivered a healthy baby.

“Conditions of our patient had started deteriorating after which we requested the hospital staff to treat her and shift her into the ICU.

But, nobody listened to our request after which we created a ruckus there. After the ruckus, the hospital staff shifted her to the ICU but in vain,” one of the family members of the deceased said.

It is to be noted that the Director of National Health Mission was in the city for inspection of hospitals to check the status of various health services but no one checked the mortality rates. The state health department has been spending crores to check mother and infant mortality rate. Even, the health department records states decline in MMR and IMR but the reality it is quite different as the cases of mother mortality are increasing drastically.
