Ratlam: Vehicle owners get notices for not providing buses

According to an official press release on Monday, SDO Ratlam Sanjeev Pande has issued show cause notices to vehicle owners whose vehicles were acquired for making available for Alot panchayat elections but were not made available.

Ratlam (Madhya Pradesh): SDO revenue, Ratlam and vehicle acquisition in-charge for election purposes on Monday issued notice to those vehicle owners who have not made available their buses for Alot panchayat polls that concluded recently.

According to an official press release on Monday, SDO Ratlam Sanjeev Pande has issued show cause notices to vehicle owners whose vehicles were acquired for making available for Alot panchayat elections but were not made available.

The official press release also added that two days' time has been given to them to file a reply to show cause notices as to why action against them should not be taken under Section 167 of the “Lok Pratinidhitva Adhiniyam, 1951. Five bus owners have been issued show cause notices on the charge of non-compliance of the orders. Meanwhile, three-tier panchayat elections of Alot janpad panchayat area were held on June 25.

Administration had made arrangements for 48 buses for movement of polling officials. For the 239 polling booths of Alot area, about one thousand officials and employees were deployed for panchayat elections in Alot area.
