Alot (Ratlam district, Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh Anchalik Patrakar Sangh vice president Ramesh Pathak has complained to collector Kumar Purushottam against Alot municipality, which wrongly demarcated a residential colony to benefit a coloniser.

The municipality has not paid heed to cleaning the town as the drains are full of garbage. The coloniser laid drains outside the colony. “The JCB work is being done by municipality. This shows it is meant to benefit a wealthy coloniser of Vikramgarh. There is filth all around the city and a lot of stray animals but municipality never cares for this,” Pathak said.

Why the municipality put JCB and employees to work for 6 days for the coloniser is a big question. “Instead of making arrangements for sanitation and water, civic body seems to be working for the coloniser,” a local resident said.
