Jaora (Ratlam district, Madhya Pradesh): The district administration held a meeting of the representatives of merchants association in the municipality hall here on Friday regarding arrangements during unlock.
Though number of Covid patients has gone down, new cases continue to surface. Though shops selling milk, vegetables, fruits, grocery and construction material are open, remaining will open from Monday.
Sub Divisional Magistrate Rahul Dhote convened a meeting of representatives of the merchants association in this regard.
At the meeting, traders agreed to open shops five days a week. It was decided to divide shops into two sections. A-list shops will open thrice a week and B-list shops will open twice a week. Next week, shops that were open for two days will open for three days and the rest will get two days. This will continue for two weeks.
There are more than 25 associations Jaora tehsil, which are involved in different trades. Shopkeepers have been told to open shops on the decided guidelines. It will be responsibility of shopkeeper to wear mask and to make customers follow rules like making them stand in white circles for social distancing in front of his shop.
