Ratlam: Administration gears up for gradual unlock in Jaora as corona cases decrease

Jaora (Ratlam district, Madhya Pradesh): Six more patients undergoing treatment at Madhavnand Covid Care Centre here were discharged on Friday evening.

Social workers Santosh Medatwal, Praveen Ramawat, Ashish Moonat presented 4 oxygen concentrator machines to Jaora. Medtwal said 10 machines were ordered from the US. Out of them, 4 were donated to Jaora, four were set up in Ratlam and two in Sailana.

Meanwhile, with an increase in the number of recoveries and drop in new corona cases, the local administration has stepped up preparations for corona curfew unlock. Sub-divisional magistrate Rahul Dhote said unlocking everything together will be challenging. “So, the administration is planning to go for it in a gradual manner,” he said.

For example, shops of essential commodities will be allowed to open for three days in the first week from 8 am to 2 pm. Shop owners will have to social distancing.

It will be mandatory for members of shopkeeper's family who are above 45 years of age to be vaccinated and those who did not will have to undergo corona test. Apart from this, it will be necessary to get administrative approval before starting the construction work, SDM Dhote said.

The decision with regard to shops selling bullion, textiles, hardware, toys, gyms will be taken alter along with hotels, restaurants, mobiles, automobiles, electronics, bakeries, book stalls, coaching centres. Apart from this, the district administration will decide whether other events including weddings should be allowed, SDM Dhote said.
