Promote IMC beneficiary Schemes: Devendra

Indore : “ People must be made aware about various beneficiary schemes being run by the IMC to collect water tax. Efforts to develop awareness and promotion must be made from our side to make the schemes serve the purpose for the citizens as well the IMC,” said in- charge of the Revenue wing of the IMC Chandu Rao Shinde while speaking to the AROs and other officials concerned during a review meeting of the department at the IMC headquarters here on Friday.

It is to be noted that the IMC is making several efforts to collect pending water taxes and develop awareness among people to pay taxes on time. In the same sequence, the IMC recently extended the ‘ Pay 5990’ scheme till November 7. During the meeting, Additional Commissioner Devendra Singh said that transparency would be maintained and proper guidance to general public at zonal level.

“ Which cow consumed the papers?” Seeking papers related to water tax collections and other issues, the Additional Commissioner humorously asked Deputy Commissioner MPS Arora “ which Cow consumed all the papers?” “ Which cow consumed the papers?” Singh asked the AROs and ZOs to inform the IMC officials concerned after completing the tasks. “ I never came across a paper that informed anything about a work carried out in the zones”, he said adding that “ I don’t really know about others but I’m an officer who reads each sentence.” During the meeting, higher officials like Singh, Deputy Commissioner Arora, In- charge of the Revenue Department Chandu Rao Shinde, the AROs and bill collectors were present.
