Misappropriation case of Rs 8 lakh registered against ex-Sarpanch

Dewas : The Hatpipliya police station police have registered a misappropriation of money case of Rs 8 lakh against an ex-Sarpnach.

The Hatpipliya police informed that Bagli Janpad Panchyat CEO Jitendra Singh Thakur had lodged a complaint regarding this. Thakur had said in his report that the accused Umesh Singh, son of Santosh Rawat Bheel, resident of village Barkhera Soma of district had did the misappropriation of Rs 8 lakh during the public participation works like C-C road construction, pond construction and other development work of the Gram Panchayat. CEO Thakur said that the Janpad office had given an amount of Rs 22 lakh to accused Umesh Singh to complete the works, but he did the manipulation in the payments and misappropriated Rs 8 lakh. The police have registered the cases against Umesh Singh under section 420, 406 and others.
