Indore : A man stabbed and injured a woman after barging into her house in Moti Tabela area on Monday afternoon. The attacker was angry over the victim’s family breaking off a marriage that involved his sister.
Raoji Bazaar police have arrested Ashraf alias Jamil for attacking three women and injuring one of them with a knife.
He barged into the house of Nusrat Khan on brandishing a knife and accused her for breaking marriage of her son Danish with his sister and threatened to kill Danish. Nusrat, her sister-in-law Yasmin and Shakeela and niece Khushnood tried to reason with Ashraf, but the discussion turned volatile and Ashraf attacked. He stabbed Khushnood in the skirmish.
When Danish also tried to intrervene, Ashraf swung his knife in juring Danish on the thumb. As matter escalated,
Ashraf fled the spot. Khushnood sustained stab wounds in her leg and was admitted to hospital where she was given treatment.
Raoji Bazaar Police registered cases under Sections 307 and 452 of the IPC and arrested Ashraf. The police have also recovered the knife used in the attack.
