Madhya Pradesh: 25 lakh government servants tweet to demand restoration of old pension

DAHI (DHAR DISTRICT): A day-long nation-wide campaign was launched on Twitter on Saturday in protest against the demand for restoration of old pension and privatization. Over 25 lakh employees from across the country tweeted to press their demands.

Irfan Mansoori, the provincial media in-charge of the MP Tribal Welfare Teachers Association, said that the over 25 lakhs employees from across the country tweeted to the Prime Minister, finance minister and Chief Ministers of all the states to demand restoration of old pension and to oppose privatisation.

The teachers under the leadership of MP Tribal Welfare Teachers Association (TWETA) posted maximum tweets among the district and the state.

Mansoori said that along with the old pension, TWETA has also asked the Chief Minister to give the benefits of graduation and seniority to the teachers of the state.

He said that the provincial president DK Singor took out a Pension Adhikar Yatra in the entire state last year to demand restoration of old pension.
