Indore : The much-awaited ‘Light and Sound Show’ would begin at historic Rajwada during a three-day series of events planned by the State Tourism Department as part of the Tourism Year celebrations from May 15. Mega Star Amitabh Bachhan has lent his voice for the script of the show narrating the history of the region.
In order to promote the tourism in the state the state government has declared year 2015 as Tourism Year.
MN Jamali, Regional Manager of Tourism Department, told Free Press that various programs are being scheduled for the three days long tourism festival. Tourism Minister Surendra Patwa was keenly taking interest in organizing the festival in the city, he said adding on the first day a drawing completion would be conducted.
The Light and Sound Show could be dedicated either on May 16 and 17, he said. Similarly, the foundation stone laying for the rail coach restaurant would also be conducted either on May 16 or 17.
Jamali said that rail coach restaurant will be second of such kind in the India after Bhopal. It would be constructed at 30 sq. feet land close to the Hat-Bazar behind the Lalbagh Palace.
There will be a complete ambience of railway station and railway journey at the restaurant. The waiters will be dressed as porter, while the manager of the restaurant will wear the uniform of TTE.
While sitting in the coach and dining the passengers will have feeling that that train is running. A glass will be used to give a feel of running train. Sounds usually heard at a railways station, like announcements of trains would also be there. Jamali said talks are on to purchase an out-of-service rail coach.
