Indore : Family members and parents of students of BD Toshniwal School staged a protest outside the school premises on Tuesday, a day after the tragic death of 4-year-old student after being run over by a bus.

Agitators were demanding strict action against the school staff for their recklessness.

Carrying Ujwal’s pictures, the protestors raised slogans against the school administration and demanded action against the staff, who failed to take the nursery student for morning prayers after alighting from the bus.

They alleged that had the school staff taken Ujwal in time for prayers, the school bus would not have run over him.

Driver of the bus Shyam Dubey is already in police custody and has been booked for causing death by negligence.

Ghanshyam Jhanwar, Trustee, assured the agitators to take action in the matter against school staff and informed about the constitution of a committee to probe in the matter.

Later, the school management allowed a few of the protesting parents and guardians to meet the school teachers and staff inside.
