Indore: A special SC/ST court sentenced a woman to three months in prison for falsely accusing two of gang-rape and criminal intimidation. Judge BK Dwivedi handed out the sentence on an application filed by special public prosecutor Vishal Shrivastava.

On the complaint the woman, an FIR at Tejaji Nagar police station was registered against Satish Rathore and Madhuar Sariya for allegedly gang-raping and making video of the act to threaten her. During trial, the woman turned hostile and told the court that she was not raped.  Too this, the court acquitted both the accused.

On learning about the case, Shrivastava filed an application under a section of CrPC in the court of Dwivedi. “Taking cognizance of the case, the special court awarded three months jail to the woman for getting innocent men framed under serious charges of rape,” Shrivastava said.
