In yet another story of love and lust which went horribly awry … the city police arrested a 28-year-old woman and her paramour for killing her husband in Khajrana area late on Friday night. The woman and her paramour’s wish to live together led to the sad end Bablu Khan who was given an overdose of sleeping tablets.

The accused had also kept Rs 10000 and a photograph of different woman with Bablu’s body to mislead the police.

Khajrana police station staff had recovered the body of 34-year-old Bablu Khan of Khijrabad Colony from Jhalaria Road on Friday morning. Stabbing injury on his neck and back of the head were found and the body was packed in a gunny bag. Prima facie probe suggested that Bablu was not killed for robbery. After receiving a short postmortem report from doctor, a police team was constituted to investigate the matter on all aspects and to trace the killer.
WHEN WIFE WAS CONFRONTED
Police reached Bablu’s wife Firoza who said Bablu left home around midnight after receiving a phone call from some Kamal Rathi after which he did not return home. Bablu was a scrap dealer and the caller had informed him that his goods were recovered possibly by police after that Bablu left with money.
WHAT THE THIRD PERSON SAID…
Later, police approached Kamal who informed that he didn’t make any calls to Bablu when police verified his statement and found that Kamal is telling the truth. After Kamal’s statement, police started investigation on the role of Bablu’s wife who tried to mislead the cops.
During investigation it was found that Bablu’s cousin Imtiyaz alias Munna Khan of Baba Mansab Nagar area was seen near the deceased’s house in the night of the incident. He even didn’t reach Bablu’s place after knowing about his death.
WHAT THE PARAMOUR SAID…
Following the tip-off, police team detained Imtiyaz who first tried to mislead the police but later confessed to killing Bablu. He informed the police that Bablu’s wife Firoza was also involved in the murder case. He allegedly confessed that he and Bablu’s wife Firoza are in relationship for two years. They wanted to stay together but Bablu was the obstacle between them. They later planned to kill him.
THE LOVE QUOTIENT
Police later arrested Firoza and started questioning her. She told the police that Bablu was also in illicit relationship with a woman due to which he used to fight with Firoza. Bablu was not ready for divorce as well.
THE MURDER BLUEPRINT
As per the plan, Imtiyaz took sleeping pills from her to give it to Bablu with food or beverage. On Thursday night, Firoza gave sleeping pills to Bablu with food due to which he slept “peacefully”. After that, she called Imtiyaz and they hit Bablu with a stick and stabbed him on the neck and back side of head with a knife. They kept money and photo of a woman with body to mislead the police.
The action
The body was kept in a gunny bag and Imtiyaz was set to dump it in an isolated place. He was on his friend’s active scooter and street dogs started barking when Imtiyaz dumped the gunny bag in the road outside the colony and fled. Police have recovered a stick, knife and the activa scooter used in the crime from the accused.
