The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has declared that 2,27,451 people were administered corona vaccine in Indore district on June 21, which is the highest single day vaccination in the country. Of those vaccinated 2,12,486 were administered the first dose and 14,965 received the second dose.

Vruhat Bengaluru Mahanagar Palika stands at the second position with 1.74 lakh vaccinations on that day. Bhopal also administered a total of 1,56,434 doses on June 21, 2021, which is second highest in Madhya Pradesh and fourth highest in the country. Mumbai administered a total of 1,12,540 doses on June 22. Vruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palika was the only city that achieved maximum vaccination on two different days (June 4 and 5) but never crossed Indore's single-day record. None of the cities in the country so far touched even the 2 lakh mark in a single day.
