Indore: Thieves targeted a house in Silicon City and decamped with cash and valuables worth lakhs of rupees from there. It is the second incident of theft in the township in the week and police couldn’t find clue about the thieves so far.
The incident took place at the house of Pravin Gupta in Sector A of the township. Gupta stated in his complaint that he along with family members had gone out for some work a couple of days ago.
The thieves entered the house after opening the lock and decamped with cash and valuables. Gupta told police that thieves took away gold mangalsutra, ear rings, gold pearls, silver ornaments and cash from there.
The incident was discovered when Gupta returned home and found broken lock. He immediately informed the police about the incident.
Police have investigated the spot and registered a case. The CCTVs are being examined by the police.
It is noteworthy that the thieves had entered a house where they held a woman captive and stolen cash and jewellery worth lakhs of rupees a couple of days ago.
Youth, friend thrashed by four
A youth and his friend were thrashed by four persons over parking their vehicle in the area under Sanyogitaganj police station jurisdiction on Thursday.
Juni Indore resident Balkishan Chouhan lodged a complaint that he along with friend Sachin had gone to Kalali Mohalla for some work. They parked their vehicle near the road when accused Avinash Silawat reached there and started an argument.
He later attacked Balkishan with a stick due to which he received critical injury on his head. His friend Sachin intervened when accused Avinash, Abhishek Silawat and two other thrashed them and threatened them. The police are searching the accused.
