Indore: Thieves flee with Rs 1.83 lakh from 2 shops

Thieves targeted two shops and managed to flee with Rs 1.83 lakh from there in Tukoganj area. The police have registered a case and are examining CCTVs to identify thieves.  According to Tukoganj police station staff, Greater Brajeshwari resident Rajesh Sethia approached police station on Tuesday night and lodged a complaint that unidentified persons entered his shop in Manas Bhavan extension on RNT Marg after lifting the shutter and decamped with Rs 1.78 lakh kept in cash box.

Thieves also entered the shop of other trader in the same building and took away Rs 5,000 from there. Sethia told the police that theft took place in the intervening night of March 23-24. The CCTVs installed in the building and other places are being examined by police. No clue was found about the thieves till filing of the report.

Another incident of theft was reported at Palasia police station. Paliwal Nagar resident Ashish Agrawal told police that thieves entered his house and decamped with Rs 4,500. Thieves also entered the house of Kamaljeet Singh Chhabra in Vishnupuri Annex after breaking lock and fled with cash and valuables from there. Bhanwarkuan police registered a case and started an investigation.
