Indore: National BJP general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya here on Sunday lashed out at Congress and other opposition party leaders who thanked Pakistan prime minister Imran Khan for release of IAF pilot Abhinandan Varthaman.

“When Pakistan had captured Abhinandan, Pakistan PM wanted to talk to our Prime Minster Narendra Modi over phone. His condition was not accepted rather he was told that Abhinandan should be released unconditionally else Pakistan would have to face consequences,” he said while addressing a function organised by BJP at Madhurmilan Garden.

“Fearing Indian backlash, Abhinandan was handed over to us safely. But Congress and other opposition party thanked Imran Khan and sought evidence of air strikes by our armed forces on terror camps across the LoC. What type of people are they? They are the same people who had gone to Supreme Court at 2 am with a petition for release of a terrorist,” Vijayvargiya said.

“We can fight with enemies outside. But with those within the country, we need to think to deal with them,” he remarked. Vijayvrargiya said “enemies” within the country need to be neutralised with ballot and not bullet.

Three-point solution to Kashmir issue: Verma

BSF (retd) Lieutenant General SC Verma said three things need to be done to set Kashmir in order.  Firstly, we need to teach traitors a lesson. Secondly, Kashmiri separatists also need to be taught a lesson. The government should withdraw all facilities given to them. Thirdly, politicians like Mehbooba Mufti, Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah should be stopped from speaking against the country.

If these three things are done, then 80 per cent of the situation in valley will improve.  He said parents of children throwing stones on army men in Kashmir for few bucks should be told to respect men in boots. “Any situation can be dealt with, if we have courage,” he added.

Along with armed forces, civilians also fight war

Retired naval colonel Raman Arora said it was good to see that Organisation of Islamic Corporation, of which we wanted to be a part for last 50 years, invited India to its conference. Pakistan was left with a long face as its request not to invite India was overlooked.

He said India had not crossed LoC during Kargil war so the entire world stood with us. And now when India crossed LoC, then also entire world is with us. “We showed how an old generation jet can bring down advanced generation jet. If country had Rafale, then situation would have been different,” he said.

All on one page

MZia Ullah, IG (retd), BSF, said ruling party, opposition parties, Indian media and people have to come on one page to give a befitting reply to enemy state. He said India’s defence forces are “very strong and can deal with any adversary.” Air Marshal Harish Masand Navi expressed similar views.
