Indore: As many as more than 25 airports of Western India, including Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airprot, services will be delivered through the digital platforms by implementing the Digi-India campaign. This was decided at the end of the 3-day meeting of the airport directors, commercial managers and Vigilance officers of Western India on Thursday.
Airport Director Aryama Sanyal informed that the for the first time such a high level workshop was organised in the city by Airport Authority of India (AAI). The theme of the workshop was ‘Preventive Vigilance on Good Governance at airports’. The workshop began on 29th January at hotel WoW, where around 80 participants from various disciplines like engineering, Communication, ATM, Commercial, HR, Finance, Cargo etc. participated.
The workshop was conducted to create awareness of good governance in AAI which in turn resulted in developing and maintaining World Class Airports. The participants were given lectures in various topics like functions of Vigilance Department, complaint mechanism, Dos and Don’ts while delivering the responsibilities, overall working and policies of various departments, the present and future plans of AAI in Developing and Maintaining Airports, Navigational and Ground Handling policies etc.
The eminent speakers during the workshop were Regional Executive Director, Western Region, Executive Director (HR), CHQ, Executive Director (IT), CHQ, GM (Vigilance), CHQ, GM (Operations), GM (Engg.), CHQ, GM (HR), CHQ etc. Keshav Sharma, Regional Director, Western India had inaugurate the workshop on January 29, who was remained present on all 3 days. Participants were Airport Directors of Ahmedabad, Pune, Goa, Nagpur, Bhuj, Bhavnagar, Bhopal, Gondia, Rajkot, Kandla, Porbandar etc. and 25 HODs and 55 senior officers.
