Indore: Police ‘seize’ Rs 1.42L from 2, returns after seeing documents

Two persons were checked by the team of Government Railway Police while they were carrying money on Tuesday. However, the money was returned to them after they showed documents for the same. According to the police, action on a tip-off, a team detained one Mohammad Juber of Chimanganj Ujjain from platform number 5. During search, Rs 72000 was recovered from him.

He said that he is a hardware trader in Ujjain and he had come to the city to purchase goods for his shop. He later presented the papers regarding the money after which the money was returned him by the police. Another person, Laxminarayan Dubey, of Katni was also checked at platform and Rs 70000 was recovered from him. He came to the city for shopping. Police said that his money was also returned after he presented the receipt for the same.
