Indore: National Lok Adalat On March 8 To Settle Pending Cases Through Mutual Reconciliation

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): National Lok Adalat is going to be held on March 8 to facilitate the settlement of pending judicial cases through mutual reconciliation. Extensive preparations have begun under the guidance of principal district and sessions judge and chairman of District Legal Services Authority Ajay Srivastava.

The Lok Adalat is being organised as per the directives of the National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi, and the M.P. State Legal Services Authority, Jabalpur. The Lok Adalat will be held at multiple locations, including District Court Indore, Labour Court, Family Court, and Tehsil Courts at Mhow, Depalpur, Sanwer and Hatod.

A variety of cases will be considered for resolution, including compromiseable criminal and civil cases, motor accident claims, electricity disputes, cheque bounce cases, bank recovery issues, water tax disputes, land acquisition cases, matrimonial disputes, and pre-litigation cases related to bank recovery and electricity. To ensure the success of the Lok Adalat, a preparatory meeting chaired by Srivastava was held on Tuesday. Shrivastava directed judges across the district and tehsil courts to take personal interest in identifying and resolving cases.

Judges have been instructed to issue notices to parties and encourage mutual settlements. Srivastava emphasized the importance of amicable resolution stating that Lok Adalats play a crucial role in reducing bitterness between parties. He urged advocates to counsel their clients on the benefits of settling disputes through Lok Adalat ensuring that both parties leave with a sense of justice and satisfaction.
